Environmental deterioration, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, soil erosion, and air pollution, as well as growing resource scarcity, which calls for a more sustainable use of the planet’s resources, are among the most urgent issues of the century. With a heavy emphasis on events and processes that take place at the Earth’s surface, this degree is an interdisciplinary scientific major. Our students gain a holistic grasp of the Earth system, human interaction with its land, atmosphere, oceans, and biosphere, and management of environmental resources, including water, soils, biological and energy resources, and minerals.
With a qualification in Environmental Management you will be trained to manage the activity that will lessen environmental impacts. You will also be involved in activities such as environmental awareness projects, environmental impact assessments, and sustainable development.
